Auto Specialty Network Phished my information from my add with Trader On Line. The salesperson called me constantly trying to get me to list my truck with them. I finally relented and agreed to list with them with certain conditions. My Trader on Line add was constantly being attacked by scammers changing my e-mail address to theirs, as well as my phone number so the scammer could capture my inquiries.

The Auto Specialty Network salesman told me that I had written a perfect add, and that he would change nothing, using my authored add in their new listing. I informed the salesperson that I had just had shoulder surgery and could not easily provide pictures to which he assured me that he had captured all pictures as well, and that I needed to do nothing more. Based on his promise, I agreed to list with them, but informed him that I would be out of country for a couple of weeks, and would not have computer access for some time (to verify the add was correct).

Approximately 45 days later, I had received no inquiries at all, so I checked the listing only to discover that my photos had never been added, contrary to the salesperserson's assurances. I contacted him and was told that their system failed to add the photos, but he (the salesperson) had not checked the add to verify that it was complete.

Being totally discouraged and feeling I had been deceived, I instructed the salesman to cancel my add and requested a refund.

I never received a refund, so I contacted my credit card company to contest the charge. This was done, and my account was credited the $250.00 charge. This was done on February 18, 2013.

Eventually, I sold my truck in June of 2013 through a friend in Utah. Auto Specialty Network did nothing to sell my truck, they were dishonest and unprofessional. Just when I was comfortable that I had been justified in my complaint and had my $250.00 back, I recieved a letter from my credit card company telling me that they had ruled in favor of Auto Specialty Network and debited my account again on May 29th.

This made me quite angry to say the least, so I have contacted my credit card provider but have not heard back from them at this time.

As many people know, when an add is placed on sites such as Auto Specialty Network, it will get the most attention in the first 30 days, then inquiries will fall off to nothing. With an uncomplete add due to the lack of followup on the part of their agent, my $250.00 was totally worthless to me, and a total gift to them since they have done nothing but steal my add from their competitor and did nothing else to earn my business. We had an agreement and implied contract from them which they totally failed to honor.

I highly recommend that anyone considering placing an add with Auto Specialty Network research their history, which is clearly loaded with complaints about their lack of service and integrity.
