I recommend that anyone who has had a bad experience with these guys file complaints with the Nebraska Attorney General, call the Mayor of Omaha at (402) 444-5000, the Omaha Chamber of Commerce (402) 346-5000 and E-bay at 866-540-3229  I have received calls new telemarketers from Omaha with the same Ebay marketing message.  Omaha obviously has a rapidly growing telemarketing business of used car sales scams.

Unfortunate I too had a bad experience with the telemarketing scheme run by Specialty Network, located in Omaha, Nebraska, that advertises itself as a Titanium Ebay Power Seller. The method used is to contact individuals throughout the country by phone who advertises a vehicle for sale on Craig’s List.   Their scam is the use of Ebay as the selling enticement to charge people a onetime fee of $378.00 with the Guarantee to advertise their vehicle on Ebay until it sells.

Specialty Network did list my 2008 Ford Explorer however, when I couldn’t find the listing on Ebay, after many attempts to call Specialty Network I was finally told that the listing had expired and that Ebay only allows them to list the car “one time, for 21days.”  I have since learned that to be false. Ebay does not limit the number of times an item can be listed for sale.

Of course after the fact, I contacted the BBB in Omaha and found Specialty Network has an “F” Rating with 132 complaints, which a week later grew to 134.

After they have your money they have no incentive to sell your car and worse you live in Texas, New York, California or someplace far away.
