Square took it upon themselves to retrieve money from my bank account for sales that were processed.  They stated they had received notification of a chargeback from a client.  I had never received any word or correspondance from an unhappy client.  They sat on those funds for several months.
 
After I contacted them again, very upset, they stated the chargeback where they represented me as the seller- did not go in my favor- they kept all the funds plus additional funds that were removed.  Now 2-3 months later they are still sitting on funds for a sale that was processed before I was notified of the chargeback.

 When I requested the money be deposited to me- they stated that they had to keep it against future chargebacks.  Well- there aren't going to be any because I refuse to use their services again.  I just want my money that is due to me. 

If anyone is interested in using their services- B E W A R E!!  They make it easy to process credit card transactions as money for them to keep!!!

Hi I'm having the same problem and I'm worried. I thought square was great up until I have had this happen to me.  if I'd known about all these problems I'd have changed from using them ever.

A customer purchased a custom drum I made and painted she deferred payment square took it and hardly ever answered my many emails.  It's a lot of money and now I fear I'll never see it.  I hope you finally got your money, that would be good news for me.
