I saw an ad in the newspaper. "Career Development Program" Presentation of sorts. I went to it and it seemed convincing. We were advised of all the entry level positions available as well as the civil service test.
We were advised of a training program that would prepare us for the civil service test. 12 lessons by mail. Cost: 1,000 dollars. Basically, the lessons entail the contents of the test as well as how to fill out a Federal application properly, since that itself is supposedly an exam in and of itself.
Signed up for it(with too much personal info BTW). Advised first lesson would be delivered within the week. 2 weeks later, nothing, no lessons nor notification. Basically never heard from them. Yet I got a bill for 50 dollars. Then I saw the report on the company before this one.
Do not fall for this. You just end up paying for nothing.

I must say that when I read your comments, I was appalled to say the least; a student not receiving their first lesson is considered sacreligious in the education field. As a nation-wide educational institution, we process thousands of student enrollments every month, and although it doesn't happen often, sometimes an application will slip through the cracks. Even with scrupulous attention, accidents can happen, fortunately we discovered your comments and can now make an effort to restore your faith in our services..
