taken for a ride i must say.... I really figured that Stereo Land was a reputable Stereo Installation facility and the installers/employees would know what they are talking about and really trusted this since the local radio station Q1047 is always running their ads and saying how great they are. This was not the case.

I should have known not to go back for a stereo install when we first took our van to them to install a new DVD player with Flip down monitor. The monitor fell out of it's mount not just once, but twice... after it was even re-installed. And to find out, that the monitor was only screwed into some fiber panel with tiny screws! Soon after the monitor had fallen down, the DVD installed under the passenger seat came loose. I was not about to go back and just fixed it myself.

Well, then i see this great promo on no interest and no payments so i decided to take my husbands truck in for a surprise birthday gift of new speakers and stereo with flip up dvd monitor. Yea, this was obviously a mistake. Not only did they install the stereo/dvd player crappy... they installed some crappy speakers to go with it. Oh, and because the salesmen had no idea what really needed to go in the truck to begin with, he quoted me the wrong size speakers for the rear and took it upon himself to give the installers the correct size (still crap) and then tell me he wouldn't charge me extra for it.... ooh, what a deal... crap for free. The stereo seriously sounds like you are in a tin can listening to it. Just awful! Not much of a great surprise birthday gift!!! When we turned it on, the rear speakers sounded like they were going to explode and still continues to make a rattling/buzzing noise. Turns out they had the rear speakers hooked up backwards and so we returned to have them fixed. Still to find they are making the worst noises and still sound like crap. I even asked the salesmen what speakers i should have installed with that setup i picked out to get the best optimal sound. He sold me crap!

My husband has been driving around now with the worst birthday gift ever and can't even listen to stupid talk radio with out his ears bleeding. Refuses to go back to Stereo Land because of their poor quality install and no pride in workmanship!

We need to get it fixed and now don't even know where to go to get that full sound we asked for!?!?! Get us out of the tin can!!!

I feel sad, ripped off, angry, a failure ....  What ever you do, Spend the little extra and go somewhere more reputable.

I guess it really is true... you get what you pay for.
