I biggest rip off I've ever encountered!!! In reviewing the endless pages of complaints, I would love to get in contact with others that are starting the Class Action suite against Storesonline's bogus business practices. My story is the same as everyone else's.

I purchased three sites in June of 2003, my site is truediscountinks, only 4 customers bought my products, two of which, where my family members. Storesonline said they will list my site with 17+ search engines, but I have yet to find it anywhere within these search engines. So, I positioned my site with one PPC search engine, so far no luck and Storesonline can't seem to offer advice on other solid ways for me to increase traffic.

In the beginning, this company told me that the CD, which was included in the package, would offer additional information, but all this CD does is transfer me to the storesonline web page. Customer service reps are a bunch of mindless idiots, who have no real knowledge or experience with creating a site. Overall, Storesonline promised me they would hold my hand and give me step-by-step guidance to my success, all I've received from them was a bag of crap. I've written this letter to the owner, stay tuned to his reply, yeah right!!!!!

In Re:Possible path of resolution for dissatisfied customers

Dear Mr. Danks,

Thank you for offering your assistance in resolving customer complaints regarding their purchase with Storesonline.

My name is Jacqueline Keegan, I went to a seminar on June 2003, and I purchased three sites. Thus far, I have only sold my product to four customers, two of which were my family members. I was told that Storesonline will list my WebPage within 17+ search engines, I asked for a list of the names, but have yet to see my site listed with these search engines. Because of this, I have positioned myself with one "pay per click" service and have only received traffic but no sales.

Mr. Danks, during the seminar, the speakers lead everyone to believe that it was going to be fairly simple to create a web page, to make sales, and to find a drop shipper. All lies, this was extremely difficult. Also, after I signed the contract, I realized that a lot of what was said by the speakers, regarding options available, was false. The webpages they told us about, do not exist, or are not completed. The software provided was of no service to me, though, I was told that the CD included in the package had all the info I needed. All the CD does is lead me to the Storesonline webpage. Customer service was useless to me because they could not give me step-by-step information on how to create or better my site or on ways to increase traffic.

Also, during the seminar, I exchanged my phone numbers with other members, who were seated next to me, and with one of the lead speakers. oddly enough, the speaker never called or emailed me, and no one knew who he was or say they never heard of him and the guest whose numbers I've received, couldn't offer any information, because they say they haven't gotten around to creating their web pages yet; I believe some of the guest may have been "plants" to encourage people to purchase with storesonline (this is something I will investigate).

In closing, the only resolution for me would be for Storesonline to give me a full refund.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter, I look forward to your response.

Sincerely dissatisfied,

Jacqueline

Isn't storesonline's help part of what we paid for? They are Liars.

I too have purchased websites from storesonline and am afraid to go any further with it due to their lack of help. You say it took you 3 months to build your website without Storesonline's help.Don't you feel that for the amount of money we put out for these websites the least they could do is help along the way?I have no idea what META is!!I bought this package with the impression that storesonline would be there every step of the way to help me.That was part of their sales pitch, and now they act as if I'm bothering them when I sak for help.My complaint has more to do with their lack of support rather than the quality of there product.I would have never purchased the program if I knew they were gonna leave me floundering out here in cyberspace. They were supposed to guide us every step of the way.I could've bought websites any where but went with them even though it was expensive because I thought they were going to help me.
They are Liars.

So it is now time to move ahead and build your site promote it and test it. The SOL tutorials are excellent use them.

My question:
Since SOL is so great ...Where is your 600 page website???

I am another victim of the SOL scam and in the proccess of trying to get my hard earned money back! If anyone has had success in getting a refund please let me know!

You need to look at your web not at the host ..amazed how many people live in dreamland!

Jacqulin,
I have read your report and many of the others listed here. I am amazed how many people live in dreamland! Did you really think that there is a magic wand to make you rich? It takes hard work, marketing, web skills and patience. You are absolutly right, SOL has monkeys working in the help desk that wouldn't know HTML from IRS. You are right in that the start up kit is all fluff...In fact there isn't even that in it. But you are wrong to blame them for your lack of sales. I attended the work shop with nothing in mind and bought my sites. I assumed that I would have to do the job to find an idea, supplier, build the site, promote the site, manage the site and market the site. I realised that this was a job and this was a business. Remember that 75% of all business's fail in the first 5 years. That is true for clicks and bricks too! The advantage we all have is we have little investment and little overheads. If your product isn't selling you have to analyse why this is happening. Price? marketing? Product? Web site? Has to be one of these. for my site I had to build 600 pages that sell 420 products. it took 3 months to build w/o SOL help because they wouldn't help. But rather then sit and complain we have to rise above this and use SOL to get the business going. They do have reasonable software and a pretty good infristructure. So it is now time to move ahead and build your site promote it and test it. The SOL tutorials are excellent use them. They do submit for you but you have to have good META. If you don't know META your'e doomed!
