Stripe.com contact person Hellen Jane money service supposedly like Paypal.com Internet

I own a website design company and was contacted by a person named Hellen Jane who claimed to be hearing impaired and claimed that she was interested in a website for her new salon business.  I was suspicious of the person since her spelling was poor and she spelled her name Helen in the text, but Hellen in the email address.  Her first question was if I could do the website by the end of the month and did I accept credit cards.  When I said that I accepted credit cards via Paypal, she claimed she had been hacked by Paypal and would never use them again, suggesting I use Stripe.com, that it is more reliable than Paypal.  She also wanted to know if I was the company owner and wanted my cell phone number.  Being more suspicious, but playing along, I gave her a legitimate quote for a website, my business phone number, and repeated that I only use Paypal for credit card transactions, but would accept checks or money orders in lieu of that.  She then responded that she was in the hospital with lung cancer and could not send a check, that she wanted me to sign up with Stripe.com, again stating she'd never use Paypal again after being hacked.  Her grammar, spelling and punctuation was very poor, and it was obvious that she was more interested in my signing up with Stripe.com than in getting started with a website.  I then looked up Stripe.com on Ripoffreport.com, and sure enough, there are many complaints about their being scam artists.  No surprise there.
