When we moved to our new house, the only choice for Internet was Northland Cable.  Their top speed for consumer Internet was 6Mbps, very slow, but all we could get.  It was also expensive at $60 per month.  At the beginning of 2014, Suddenlink Cable acquired them.  They said it would be a year or so before they could get our infrastructure ungraded, and offer better speeds in our area.  Since Suddenlink does not even offer speeds as slow as 6Mbps (for $55, they offer 50Mbps), I asked if we could expect a price break.  The man assured me they were going to look into restructuring our pricing scheme.

Well, here we are a year later, and I am still paying $60 for slow Internet.  When I have called they get hung up on the fact that it will be a while before they will have the infrastructure updated to offer better speeds.  I don't care if it takes 10 more years to upgrade our speed, I feel we are paying way too much for such slow speeds right now.

I was with Suddenlink years ago, and they offered very good Customer Service.  They seemed to have moved away from Customer Service, more towards the bottom line - making money.  If there was any other service available, I would go with them, but for now, they are it.  DSL is offered, but at even a slower speed than we have.  Overall, I am very disappointed in Suddenlink, and their complete lack of Customer Service.

Fake Suddenlink Helper Posts

AUTHOR: John - ()

'Kacie' responded to my email, like they were going to help, but when I replied to them, they never answered.  Saw the same thing happen with a complaint against Sears - They post that they will help, just to make it appear they will help, and anyone reading the report believes it.  Suddenlink won't help, and they do not care.  Worst company ever!
