I am a fromer "merchant consultant" for Summit Merchant Solutions in the Birmingham, AL area. They're not the solution to ANYTHING! They are only creating problems.

I appologize to the merchants i signed up if they're having any problems. One of my clients offered me a job saying that i am too good of a person to work for Summit. I really appreciate his kind words. But since i work for him, i hear his problems with Summit fairly frequently. Today, they took $4,000 out of my boss's account. i truly feel bad for signing him up with Summit. If i had known the problems he would be having with Summit, i never would have worked for them. I should've checked out this site before signing on with the company.

I was also irritated with the way they presented the job "opportunity". They promised me no cold calling ever. Once i started working for them, they told me i needed to do cold-calling and my ratio for appointments to cold calls was supposed to be 40% appointment to 60% cold calls.

In hindsight, i figured out how they get so many new accounts and so much money. They hire on new agents to try to get as many accounts as possible before the agent realizes how poorly they treat the merchants. I just hope my boss is able to stay in business after all the mess he's had with Summit. Something really needs to be done about this company. They need to be ran straight into the ground and be forced to give back all the money they have STOLEN from my boss's business and all the other small businesses they have robbed from! I'm sure Summit has been the death of many small businesses and their American Dream.
