I received a letter in the mail from Sun Trust Finance Inc. saying that I won $450,000.00 it also contained a check. I thought it was for real, the check looked legitimate enough so I did what the letter said and I called the "claim agent". The check was made out for $4,700.00 by the way.

After I gave her my name and claim number she told me to deposit the check into my bank account and when it clears to call her and I did. When I did that she told me to western union $2,800.00 of the money to Betty Harris (the tax agent) for non-resident government service tax, I had never heard of lottery scams so I didnt think anything about it.

It started to seem kinda weird when she told me to send $1,700.00 to another person for "insurance purposes." She called me that time and thats when I noticed the number that she called me from was a cellphone number, thats when a red flag went up, I googled the number and it directed me here and now I know that it is a scam.
