The timeshare promotional company Sunset world or Club Sunset have very deceptive practices regarding the sale of their timeshares. What they promote to you is not what your contract states. For example, we were sold a timeshare on a two bedroom unit for 1 week per year that could be split into three studios for three weeks or a one bedroom plus a studio for one week each. The salesperson told us we would only pay one maintenance fee a year for what we bought which was a two bedroom suite for one week, what ever split we decided on, but the contract itself stated that we would be responsible for the maintenance fee per unit per week of use! For example, if we decide to do the studio for three weeks, we would pay three times the studio rate for using it for three weeks, not just one maintenance fee. Note that this is after paying a large lump sum purchase for the timeshare membership. The sales person also told us that every 5 yrs there would be a one time extra charge for upgrades, but the contract states that this charge is not a one time charge but for life of the contact, and again will increase every 5 years for life! Since the sales people give you falls information about what they are actually selling, an individual should not sign there contract untill taking a couple of days reading thoroughly through it! These type of sales should be illegal, because the sales people totally lie to you about what you are buying. I advise everyone to not even entertain these liars, they are too good at what they do and you will end up signing if you allow them to promote their goods to you!!!
