The company's sale representative rang me at home and explained to me what a seemed to be a fantastic holiday offer.

He took me through the process and then told me that he needed to confirm that I was a card holder. I told him that I was but he said he needed to varify it. I asked him if any money could be taken out of my account and he said 'No Mam not until a 30 day period is up and you have had chance to look over the documents we are going to send you' 'If you don't want the holiday just send the documents back before 30 days and no money will be taken from your account'. So I gave him my details.

When the documents came about 6 days later, I realised that the flights were not included like the sales representative had said, so I sent the package back the same day. I sent it recorded delivery so I knew they would get it. I still have the receipt.

A few days later I looked at my bank balance and they had taken 650 from my account anyway. I was furious as this left me overdrawn. I rang the company straight away when I realised they had taken it and a customer service advisor said she was sorry for the inconvenience and that she would cancel the holiday and I would receieve my refund 10-14 business days. This was on the 1st of July. She sent me a confirmation email which I have still got to confirm that she cancelled the holiday and that I would be getting my refund.

I waited 14 business days and still no refund. I have sent emails, letters to which I have had no reply. I have rang at least once a day and each time been passed about and ignored. One of the staff told me that they have done the same thing to a lot of people and I might get my money back and I might not.

How can a company lie and steal from a person like this. I am going to try and report it to the American Police as a theft and deception. I did not say they could ever take that money or that I wanted the holiday.

Huge Scam

AUTHOR: Amy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 01, 2005

They did not have my name at first. I don't know how they got my number in England but the phone rang and it was an automatic message saying that I had won a discounted holiday and the call was free of charge so press number 7 to listen to more. I expected another automatic message but instead on the other end of the phone was a customer service advisor who cleverly conned me into giving my bank details. I will know in future never to trust anyone again.

They are a huge scam

AUTHOR: Holly - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 31, 2005

Sunshine Travel Escapes is a huge scam located in Florida. The owner actually told me they are "targeting the UK because of the ratio betwenn the dollar and the pound". They ripped off thousands of people in the UK and will continue to do so. I can bet that you paid with your debit card or bank card? (this is the only known form of payment they accecpt) If so, please call the number on the back of the card to report this as fraud. Advise them you never gave them authorization to bill you, or that you canceled the order. You should know that this company goes by a dozen different names, such as Florida Travel and Tickets, Welcome Center, Florida Welcome Center, Travelers Information Network, the list goes on and on. Sunshine Travel Escapes is only their website name. I'm curious though, how did they get your name and number to call you?
