I wrote a complain letter to Sunwing Vacations about $100.00 extra charge at Toronto airport for my Kiteboarding equipment. I should mention it was the same size as a regular golf bag and less then 20 kg. That means most airlines do not charge any fees for overweigh. However, please take a look what I have got back from Sunwing:

I am responding to your concern regarding excess baggage charge for your sporting goods to Cuba and back. There was an error done with the charge by the airport staff in Cuba the result of the error falls in your favor. Sporting good are subject to a charge of $100.00 CAD each way. You should have been charged another $100.00 on the return flight back.  The policy for excess baggage charges can be view on our web site: www.flysunwing.com.

Thank you for advising us about excess charges not being collected in Cayo Coco, I have forwarded your concerns to the station manager to avoid any further confusion for future travelers.
