Often times bad things are written or said about experiences with online mortgage lenders.  I can tell you from first hand experience, Rick Anderson at Surepoint Lending was one of the nicest, most professional, and honest loan officers I have ever come across.........

His original quote was accurate and honest, unlike some of the other loan officers from other mortgage companies that quoted me a ridiculously low rate with ridiculously low closing costs, trying to bait and switch me......I actually fell for it, and spent 4 weeks dealing with another company that eventually bait and switched me when it came time to close.....

When I decided not to close with them, I called Rick back because I had had such a positive experience with him on the phone....He was happy to help.  Not only that, he made the loan process so much easier than the other company, we literally closed my loan with Surepoint in a week.....

And you know what....my closing costs and interest rate actually got better than what he originally quoted me, because he helped me fix some errors that were on my credit report.

Needless to say, if you ever have a chance to work with Rick Anderson at Surepoint Lending, I would highly recommend you do.  Your loan will be easy, fair, honest, and accurate.

Surepoint Scam

AUTHOR: Greg - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 24, 2011

Jonathan Belden at Surepoint was dealing with my refinance. When I questioned the fees, he came back with a bit of an attitude saying the fees "are what they are" and basically had an attitude like if you don't want to do this then don't waste my time.. Some customer service! He kept always talking about their BBB RATING.. I don't care if you've got a A+ rating from the president, or the pope, if I'm not comfortable, I'm going to ask questions! I didn't feel comfortable paying for an appraisal before getting a good faith estimate showing all costs and fees. When he did send one, it didn't reflect the proper loan amount. I asked for another one reflecting the correct amount and he said he'd get that right out. He never sent it and he has not responded to any of my attempts at contacting him! Seems like they try to get you to pay for an appraisal, then after you're already out of pocket they hit you with their outrageous "junk" fees. You feel obligated cause you've already paid $400 for an appraisal! Bad business!

Response to Surepoint support

I am happy to hear something positive about Surepoint on this page because since I just gave them my CC # for an appraisal I was getting depressed after finding all this negative feedback. I woke up in the middleof the night wondering if I had done the right thing - went to the laptop and looked up the company again - found a complaint website(this one) and thought Ibetter check it out.

Like your agent, Rick Anderson, the agent with whom I am dealing is equally as nice, appears to be thorough and has convinced me that Surepoint is the best way to go. I sure hope I am not making a mistake. Anything that threaten the security of my home is war to me and if I have to lose the appraisal fee (which I am still not comfortable with paying up front), I will sacrifice it and be back on this page in a fury.

Thank you for your input.

Unless....hummm....You are an employee of the company? Let me guess, you have been turned down by numerous customers because they read all about Surepoint on Ripoff report? I know this because I worked for that company for a year and a half and I know how shady the loan officers are there.  The company tells you that other companies are lying to the customers, so you actually believe it and tell the customers that.  In reality, Surepoint gouges customers on interest rates and fees.  Whenever you can just rape a customer, you are a HERO in morning meetings, because the customer was dumb enough to trust you.
