My wife and I purchased a vehicle, (2004 Dodge Ram) from Suzuki of Nashville. At purchase a "we owe" was provide including checking the transmission due to a sound that concerned us, (we were told repeatedly by their service manager at the time, PAM, that all Dodges had "rough" transmissions, and she consistantly blew us off on getting the transmission checked.

We also noticed a severe shimmy when braking and they checked it and found a warped rotor. They then turned the rotor and put the same old pads back on the truck. This is completely against Dodge service recomendations, and frankly, common sense. They also ignored a ruptured boot on the left front caliper.

We have tried repeatedly to get the dealership to honor their service commitments, and stopped in on several occaisions as well as made dozens of phone calls to get them to honor their end of the bargin. They will not.

The architect of the deal, Tim Jackson, simply said, "at this point, there is nothing I can do."

There will be legal action if the various complaints dont get resolved. This report is simply a warning: DON'T PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM SUZUKI OF NASHVILLE. They will not honor their commitments, and they may put your life in jeapordy.

What a shame, we like the truck, but it's more a reminder of how a company with no morals or ethical standards will lie and promise the moon and give you nothing but a burned out lightbulb and empty promises.

Their mistake is that we have those promises in writing.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Ex-Employee witnessess lies, scams and illegal practices at Suzuki of Nashville

AUTHOR: John - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 14, 2008

I worked at Suzuki of Nashville for about a year. We were trained to lie to the customer from the very beginning. Here is how the sales process works: We would call up a customer that applied online for a car loan and say "congratulations, you are 100% approved for a loan, zero down payment, whatever car you want- what time can you come in?" That was just the first of a string of lies. Their credit was never even pulled. We would tell them anything to get them in the door. (Their credit was almost always very very bad).

Once the customer showed up, we would pass them off to someone else that hasn't lied to them yet, and the salesman that lied to get them in would go to the service department to hide.

The 2nd salesman would pull the customers credit, ask them for a co-signer and a $2000-$4000 down payment. Most customers would then get very upset from driving an hour or two to get here and would scream an insist that the other saleman told them they were already approved zero down. After a few minutes, the angry customer would finally leave. A salesman with little or no appointment would usually get fired.

Now the times when we could actually get a co-signer or large down payment- we could sell them a car. It was hardly ever the car they wanted because they had bad credit usually. So we would tell them to drive it fro 2-3 months and then trade it in (That was totally bull and almost impossible). I even saw a manager "cut and paste" a carfax report to hide a previous accident and frame damage on a Hummer that was sold. The doctored up report was given to the customer with a smile. I'm sure that was illegal.

Now most salesman did not like lying and hiding from the customers. But the general manager- Gene Smithson- did not care. All he wanted was to make money and make the sale. If a salesman refused to use these deceptive policies, they would be ridiculed and yelled at daily. It was like boot camp with him. He would insult us, scream and yell, threaten, embarrass, and humiliate anyone not following his footsteps of lies. And to this day, 90% of the salesmen that quit, quit because of him and his dis-honest ways.

Not all people at Suzuki of Nashville are bad. And the editing or creating of fraudulent documents didn't happen very much. But the true problem is in the ethics of the people at the top: Hassan Mousavi- Owner and Gene Smithson- General Manager.
Their shady greedy practices trickle down, and if you work their long enough, you too will become like them.

General Note to anyone thinking of using Suzuki of Nashville. DON'T!

I went through the entire consumer affairs process and tried and tried and tried to get this business to honor it's obligations. They refused to honor the warranty they forced us to buy, the refused to honor the we owe they provided, and they refused to honor the promises made by their staff in WRITING.

My attorney is DRS of Nashville, 1913 21st Avenue South, Hillsboro Village Nashville Tennessee 37212 615-742-1775

Sadly, Suzuki of Nashville could have avoided this, but chose to bet that I would not sue them. They have lost that bet, and they will lose this case.

I would strongly encourage anyone who is thinking about dealing with these people to reconsider, and go somewhere else.
