It seems to me that when I order vitamins from Swanson in Fargo ND and send it to their Fargo address, the invoice comes back always saying I owe NV state tax. I asked them why and they told me because they ship from a warehouse in NV which I had yet to find. I told them the boxes I received have a return address of fargo and if they were sent out from Vegas the original order went to Fargo which is considered an out of state order where no NV sales tax should be charged...They disagreed and I told them to take their catalog and vitamins and stick them where the sun don't shine..I'm using other vitamin companies on line and I'm very satisified..with no state sales tax added.

You stated you looked and that Swansons does not have an outlet in your state, this link proves otherwise.

If your state charges tax on vitamins and they have an outlet in your state, doesn't matter if it was shipped from there or not, you still have to pay the tax.
It would be totally illegal for a company to charge tax and then not pay it to the state it was owed. If Swansons was doing this, the feds would have shut them down a long time ago, that would fraud at the very least.
Sorry you dumped a really great company, I've dealt with them since 1990 and have never had a problem, I order from them every two months.
