This is an on-line auction company. What they do is get the customer to use they're credit card to place money into a so called pot. Then the customer can make bids. If buy some ungodly luck the customer wins the bid . The money is available. And of course you can add money to your account by using the credit card on file. Well, Once I started to fill suspicios about the whole thing. I find out that theres a $159.00 fee they charge. So Immediately I talk to customer service ( on-line ) Canceling my account. Which they approve . I had to download  the refund form and send it in. Keep in mind , Your refund in guarenteed. Well the formed was sent in to them on Sept 20 2010. I contacted them every week for 5 weeks. Finally on Nov 3rd. I contacted them to inform them that the money has not been credit back to my account. This time I was told that the company has gone under and refunds could'nt be honored.  I've been had. Today I made a promise to myself. No more money tranactions over the internet. And I must be close enough to that person whom I'm dealing, Just to assure my self that If they even thinks about wanting to scam me. The police want have to go far. Keep in mind. If you can't see the person you're dealing with, Leave it alone

..the problem is not the internet per say, and I will explain.

If you get a bad deal from ANYWHERE..be it mail order, internet or a walk in store..if that place goes out of business...then you may lose out if you want a refund..regardless of any implied "guaranty".

The only thing in life that is guaranteed, is you are born..you go through a bunch of B.S., and then you die.

If you look at the internet as what is is...aside from porn, gambling, scams and shopping...it is an "information super highway". Now before the internet..how did we investigate or research a company before doing business? Read the consumer reports?

Honestly...you can investigate and research ANY business these days in SECONDS...thanks to the information super highway. Try it now. Do an internet search of "swipebids"..tell me you can't find tons of reports about how this scam gambling fake auction site works dated WAY WAY before YOU decided to give them your credit card info.

I am not saying you were not scammed...oh..you were no doubt. But it was EASILY avoidable. Yes, the internet created a new and easy means for scammers to reel in suckers..but at the same time..never before in the history of mankind..have we had so much information available at our fingertips at almost the speed of light. Think about it.

USE the internet..do not let IT and the scammers use you. If you take the time to learn how to use the internet and not be a sucker..you will find the best deals you ever imagined on almost anything. And you will find it can be a safe way to shop. Read the complaints on this site..most are banks..and car dealerships. These are walk in LOCAL businesses, not the internet. Rip offs can usually be avoided if we decide to not be a victim..and this means to stop blaming everything and look at our part. A good mechanic does not blame his tools.
