Switzer Maids Damon Marin Care to prosecute? Fort Collins, Colorado

Wow! Major Buyer Beware. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Basically, they showed up at my house this morning 06-13-2012. Damon, stating he was the owner requested payment up front in the amount of $150 dollars for a "deep cleaning" service.

After I paid him, he stated the lady would be late. A half hour later, a young girl arrived without any cleaning equipment. I thought it was odd, but left her in my home, assuming Damon would be returning as he promised.

Keep in mind, "Damon" stated the cleaning would take approximately 4 and 1/2 hours to complete. I arrived 2 hours later to find the "cleaning lady" had left and my home was not cleaned. Damon also stated he "would be here to check her work". He wasn't.

I alerted my wife to contact the bank to put a hold on the check, which she did immediately- only to find out Damon had already walked into the bank and cashed the check. Again, WOW! Also, as Damon is the "owner", shame on me for not asking why he wanted the check made out to Tom Jones??? Not Damon Marin, or Switzer Maids....Tom Jones.

Oh and by the way, Damon is not taking our calls. Imagine that. Dear Damon or Tom Jones or what ever your name really is, what you don't know about me is that I actually track people for a living. I will definitely find you and we will definitely be having a serious discussion and we will definitely assure you have an opportunity to get aquainted with the proper authorities.

Please be warned, Switzer Maids is a complete scam!

Update: Ok, I'm back to edit because I have more information. The way the scam works, "Damon" (who doesn't exist) is going to come to your home and request cash or a check. The cleaning person is always going to be, "a half hour late". This ensures Damon the opportunity to get to a bank and cash your check immediately.

By the way, his "employee" is never going to be paid. In our case, this is a high school girl who's mother brought her all the way from Greeley. Fortunately, though Damon parked his car down the street (NOT IN MY MASSIVE EIGHT CAR DRIVEWAY) I obtained his license plate information. I also retrieved the plate number for the young lady that showed up.

I have contacted a friend at Larimer County Sherriff and they are researching to see if they can take a criminal action. If you have worked for this company or if you have been robbed as we have, we want to hear from you ASAP. This is a man that walked and inspected my home with me, looking into my children's bedrooms, knowing he was going to steal from them!
