Started with a job ad I applied to for "adminstrative" assistat needed. Within an hour I got this email below. I set up the google chat and it seemed to be a legit interview, he asked me to hold on the line for a bit, he came right back said I was hired. They would mail me a check to get my "home office" set up and asked for my name and mailing address and who I banked with. He wanted me to "hurry" and open a bank account with Bank of America or US Bank. I bank now with a rather large well known bank and asked him why I needed to open an account with such banks? He said because their bank did not "tally" with any other banks except those given. He told me I needed to be on line each day at 8AM sharp to discuss things. I would be paid $9.00 per hour for 1 week training then I would be paid $25.00 per hour once I started to work. (NO where online could I find anyone working with Skyes making $25.00 per hour) The next day a man showed up at my door with a carrier package inside was a cashers check for $2450.00 from efcu Credit Union. Baton Rouge was spelled wrong and in lower case and there were no water marks let a lone the numbers were out of wack. He kept blowing up my IM asking me if I got the bank account set up? To which I told him NO I would not do such thing and he asked if I got the check? I needed to take it right now and put it in my account and then send him a copy of the receipt. There was a bogus letter that came with the check no letter head with the name Michael Rodgers email addresses of Career@acct-office.us or michael.rodgers@accountant.com. This David told me to cash the check amd not to email this Michael Rodgers that he would be no help to me. He told me HE would provide me with a vendor to send another check to who then would send me my euqipment. I kept asking this so called David person who he worked for because this all seemed so fake? He would reply yes sure, or do you UNDERSTAND or UNDERSTOOD. I told him he was a scam and he should be ashamed of himself. He could not answer any questions and it seemed he was getting so mad that I was drilling him with questions that he was misspelling words left and right and then he would disappear off line and pop up a few hours later asking if I took the check yet to the bank. I told him NO and I was not going to. He then said he would have "payroll" send me a new check or he would have them put the funds directly into my account and I could go purchase my own things and send him the reciepts. I told him NO and basically to he was once again trying to scam me how did sleep at night doing this to folks? I sure hope no one falls for this. I have 3 days worth of chat IM's from this dummy. Glad I did not fall for anything.
