Target Store False warranty claims and sales Jacksonville Florida

Purchased a digital camera and bought the 3 year extended warranty with it. Camera lens broke 4 months later. Target store said I had to send it to Fuji in New Jersey at my expense to get repaired. I had the 3 year "NO HASSLE" warranty. The manager said that only kicks in after manufacter warranty, which was a year. I said I want to use my 3 year NO HASSLE warranty. Manager said I couldn't until 7 more months. Target warranty states that it starts on the date of purchase.

I explained that I was therefore losing 1 year of my 3 year warranty from target. The manager was silent for about 15 seconds and said "your right". I then demanded help getting the camera fixed. She said "no" and that she was the highest level that I could talk too. I was upset and cursed her. She said that she would call police and I needed to leave the store. I told her to go ahead and call the police because I was a police officer and she was just as rude to me. She walked away. I still have the broken camera and am not going to send it back to fuji a second time.

Just beware of the warranty cards that you buy at the cashier. The manager will open it up and pull out the paperwork inside that you need microscope to read and it will directly contradict the BIG words on the front of the package.

The sad part is that I arrest theft suspects at Target stores as part of my job. I have never given them bad service when I easily could have blown them off when they call. I guess integrity is not in the company vocabulary.
