Tasting Room advertises their service of wine tasting as if it is amazing. The idea is that you pay a fee for samples of wine and then you create a profile (like Netflix) that allows you to log your favorite wines. You are supposed to get only what you love. Then they will ship you a box of full size wines of those choices.

All over their website they have "100% satisfaction guaranteed", "you can cancel anyttime", and "if you ever receive a wine you don't like, we will refund your money or replace the bottle."

So, I was sucked in and decided to try. I paid 6.95 for shipping my sample bottles. After a couple weeks, I got an email asking me if I liked my wines and that it was time to make my profile. Well, I never got any samples. I looked on their website for a phone number only to find it was a fax machine sound when I called. I then decided to email them. I stated that I never recieved my samples to even fill out a profile so please do not send me any full size bottles and do not bill by card.

Three weeks later, I recieve a box of wine large enough to kill a donkey. I was upset.

I called the number in the box and got some girl that was rude straight from the beginning. She admitted to recieving my email request to cancel and said they got it in plenty of time to stop shipment but chose not to because I did not log in to the account and cancel through some link. Really? I noticed they had credited me the 6.95 for the sample bottles a couple weeks earlier. She said they would not do a returnn label to pick up the wine and that I needed to pay to ship it back. We are talking a box full of 8.00-10.00 grocery store bottles of wine that equalled 168.00!! 168.00, yes. That would probably cost me 40.00 just to send back this stuff I asked them to not ship to me in the first place.

I asked for a supervisor. She told me one was not available but she would put me in a cue for Raven to call me back in 48 hours. 48 hours for a supervisor. I kept insisting she find someone and she hung up on me. So, I did what any hot-blooded person would do who just got 168.00 stolen from them, I called right back. I got John. John was by far the rudest person I have ever spoken to at any place pretending to be a customer-friendly business. I could tell when he answered the phone and hesitated, he had already talked to the last girl. He dodged all my questions, he was very monotoned and refused to answer me, referring me to the website. I asked again for a supervisor. He kept insisting there was not one and he saw I was already in cue to talk to this fake person named Raven, who shocker 6 days later has not called me back. After 10 minutes of refusing to pick up the wine they forced on me, he told me he was the supervisor. If you'll buy that.

He proceeded to purposefully try to antagonize me by saying "Come on threaten me, come on!" when I told him that he would regret speaking to me this way because I would let everyone know of the fraud on social media. He proceeded to tell me he knew my address and had all my information and phone number. He kept defending what they did and saying my bank could't do anything, He acted like I owed them something.

This was the worst attempt at pretending to be a customer friendly business I have every experienced. He definitely showed the true dirty on this little fraudulent fly by night business. Thankfully my bank is a no nonsense bank and takes fraud very seriously and Tasting Room now has a Fraud claim againste them and my bank is working to get the money back in my account.

To put this in perspective: this company who says they exist to give people what they want by sending samples, letting you taste, create a profile showing exactly what you like, only send wine in your profile just failed to send me the samples so I never had a profile. They blantanly ignore my request to cancel and for them to not send anything else, they admit they recieved the request, they ship a huge shipment anyway, bill me, tell me I need to pay to send it back, disrespect me, lie to me, steal my money, antagonize me, refuse to let me talk to a supervisor, then tell me that there is nothing my bank can do.

Don't let them get you too.
