On November 6 2009 the front door to the Body Shop at the airport was left open. Anybody could have walked in and picked up a box cutter or any other thing that is not allowed to be carried onto an airplane. Christina Foy the store manager tried to do an entire floor set in two hours after store close...anybody with two brain cells knows that is not possible however she got tired went home and just left it open. The morning employees walked in and discovered it and I had let them know that they should turn it in to the district manager Holm Hamann who proceeded to treat it like it was no big deal. It is actually a security threat and a loss prevention issue. Why bother going through security????Just stop by the Body Shop at Minneapolis St Paul Airport...they do not follow the rules anyway!!! The other employees are still in shock over the episode and anyother retailer would have fired her at a mall but at an airport...really!

What exactly should I be concerned about here?

I found this report very interesting. Am I correct in assuming you truly believe that a) someone could have actually gone inside the store, b) found a box cutter and c) harmed someone? Well to me that sounds like your concerns lie with airport security itself, not The Body Shop. I doubt security is that lax at an international airport. I also don't agree that someone would be fired for something like that. Sure, there are consequences, but termination? People are only terminated for truly serious issues and perhaps for being incompetent. I don't think this report has any merit being a report at all. This definately doesn't sound like a security issue to me; I'm not scared to fly after reading this. In my opinion, this report was probably written be either a disgruntled former employee or an associate of.
