I ordered a camera from this company last night. Today I got a call from their salesperson saying I needed to purchase one of three memory cards to go with it. I asked how much the cheapest was, and he said $99. I politely refused, since that sounded a bit steep. He next tried telling me he could sell me the next highest priced one for the $99. Again I refused. Then he told me the camera I purchased was "refurbished" (which is mentioned nowhere on their website), but he could sell me at "new" camera for more money. At this point, I told him to cancel the order. Instead of trying to salvage the sale, he told me he could sell me the memory card for only $69.

At this point I realize I'm dealing with a scarily dishonest company (and they have my credit card info!), so I repeat that I want to cancel the order. Again he tries to sell me something else, and I repeat myself for the third time, "Just cancel the order." My husband gets tired of hearing me get the runaround, so he takes the phone and tells the guy again, "She said cancel the order." Finally the salesman makes some snarky remark and hangs up. Unbelievable!

I've had so many good experiences buying things online that I guess I got a bit complacent, but I was lured in by the "1312 positive reviews" they had on the Everyprice.com website (which I now stronly suspect is another scam site). This is just a reminder that there are sharks and scam artists out there who have now become savvy enough to make themselves look legitimate.
