We receiveD the fax at work and we thought it was too good to be truth and we jumped on it, call the 800# and payed over the phone with a check because they didn't accept credit cards or individual checks they wanted all the money at once. They were going to send a voucher and then we were going to be able to book, we did received the pkg with a promo code # and another 800# where they requested yet another $69 per person to activate the voucher, at this point I got suspicious and did some research on this company and look what I found! SCAM all the way we are not going to go anywhere with them they are not answering the calls and Amy the person we talked with is in meetings or out for the day etc we get it now...

NO REFUND
AUTHOR: Mike - ()
SUBMITTED: Monday, August 04, 2014
Travel Center claims to give refund in rebuttal....please explain that one for all of us. The fact is, you will not be given a refund. If so, state the guidelines and procedures because when i called, I was told no refund was allowed. I am out the money I sent in even though I ended it and asked for a refund before the travel center did anything except for cashing the initial checks. This is a scam. Plain and simple. Hopefully others will read this before they are taken. I was given one day to go to a seminar and was not told of this company ahead of time. Then they pressure you with a limited time to respond or lose the offer so you dont find out. Once you have toime and look them up, you will see a BBB score of a big fat F...and several complaints. If the refund part is true, ten please explain that...I would like my refund of $276

True Fact of Travel Center

Don't let the Travel Center sugar coat the true facts about this company. I too was called and told that if I attended a seminar on travel discounts, I would be given at no obligations, a choice of a few travel packages that include a 8 day 7 night cruise with air fare for 2. We attended and declined the membership into a discounted travel club but were given as promised a form to redeem for the "bonus" gift...I filled it out the next day and requested two seperate trips (you were allowed to pick any many as you wanted, and now know why. You were told to send in a money order or check for $69 for each traveler up to two people on each. I sent in two checks for $138 each (times 2) and waited a week and saw that they cashed them. I got an email with some instructions to send in basically the same ino I had already sent in plus selecting what we wanted. No info on any of these trips so I just filled it out best I could. Now, this is where they get you. You are required to sign the form that states they are just a consultant and are not the vendor you are having to book these trips with. The vendors will then require that you pay them some money and by the time it is all said and done, you paid a lot more than you would have if you booked it yourself and shopped around. The saying if its too good to be true, then it is not...well, it applies here. I will just warn you if it is not too late...dont fall for this scam. They get an extra $138 for doing nothing more than what I could do if I search the internet and search for these packages myself. Save yourself the money. These company's red flag was the garbage they have you sign stating that they are not responsible for any charges that may occur from other vendors. They offer nothing for the $138. I got taken for $276 and will not be able to get a refund for being mislead. I asked the first caller if that $69 fee was all that it would cost and was told yes...no other charges except maybe a port fee if I chose the cruise along with taxes. Not true at all...if you dont believe me, go ahead and give it a try and remember what has been said...you will find out the truth but was warned. This Travel Center is a SCAM.

The Travel Center

I have recently had to deal with The Travel Center and found they keep themselves within the law by skirting responsibililty to thrid parties, We had WON a cruise for attending a promotion by Blue Sky Concierge and that was required is to pay the processing fees, taxes amd port chrages. First set of forms required a processing fee of $138 for the two, forms only asked name address, email and telephone. Second set of forms arrived asking for same info. Third set of forms arrived asking for the very same info and requiring another $200 deposit. After calling the center and asking if they could provide an itemized list of all costs that were going to be charged, I was informed they just handled sitting it up and did not know the costs. I ask for a supervisor and was told they were all on vacation. I then checked with BBB and found they have a "F" rating and numerous complaints. I asked for a refund and was told they did not give refunds which is a different story from what they posted on here in their rebuttal.
