I contracted with Thermscan Diagnostics and Jennifer Weems to become a certified infrared thermographer, an equine thermographer, and get a FLIR infrared camera. I paid nearly $6000. The equine thermographer training was a 20 minute video that was offered for sale for $10 on her website and was supposed to cover the entire training for the equine portion of this course. The camera was never delivered and she could never provide an order confirmation number or tracking number showing it was even on the way. I was also instructed that I did not need to be a veterinarian to run this business, but after talking to the state vet board in Texas, it turns out that you do and what she was advising me to do was actually illegal. I requested a refund, which was never provided even though it was promised, so I had to file a dispute with PayPal and my credit card company. What's sad is that she's "certifying" people across the country and is now expanding into Canada and people are spending thousands of dollars and they are not allowed to do what she's training them to do without either being a vet or being directly under a vet's supervision.

AUTHOR: Thermographer - ()

If what you say is true, why did the TX State Vet Board send you a cease and desist letter? Why is there a police report against you and an active investigation for fraud and theft? Why is there a BBB warning? Why have multiple other people calling to tell me they are having the same experience? Why has the TX attorney general's office been notified? Why do you change the offerings and disclaimers on your website every day? Why have you stopped answering texts, emails, and phone calls? Why do all of your distributors make you pay up front because they don't trust you because you have a track record of not paying? Potential clients, please do your research. THIS COMPANY AND WOMAN IS A FRAUD.

Allegations Are False

AUTHOR: ThermScan Diagnostics - ()

ThermScan Diagnostics would like to take the time to answer to this harsh and inaccurate rip off report. The customer who filed this report (lives in Colorado) we know who she is because we saw her chargeback filed against us on Pay Pal. And there has been only this one. Which is how we know who this person is. This person purchased a CIT course and Camera special from us. She WAS signed up for the 32 hour online CIT Course . She did receive her course manual. She took her CIT course and she passed her exam. We paid over $1650 to a 3rd part for her to take this course and exam. And WE do have the receipt stating this. Then once she passed her exam she was given company confidential documents. 7 in all. Documents included client work sheets, customer pricing, how to do thermal imaging in horses and more. She was also given a 2 part instuctional video. In the meantime the new FLIR e 8 cameras arrived to us. These were a new camera to our company. We had been informed they contained the correct color palette for equine imaging. When they arrived for us to give to the customer we tested them out only to find the new e 8 cameras do not have the correct color palette. and can not be used for equine thermal imaging. We then contacted our distrubutor. They contacted FLIR. We were told we could ajdust the color palette in FLIR tools software. We had to wait to get the software then take images and test this out to see if this format would work for the new CIT's. The customer WAS notfied there were delays in this as we were trying to work through these issues. Finally we decided the new software would be too challenging for the CIT's to work. So we decided to pick out a second camera with the correct imaging color palette. The customer was nortified that she would be getting this second camera. She flipped out and insisted the new camera is only half the value of the original camera. Which is not correct. She also insisted we send the original e 8 camera. Which we will not send out because they can not be used for equine imaging. The customer notifed us we had until the end of THAT day to refund her money OR else! We wrote back that we would refund her order minus her CIT course and training with the equine thermal imaging package (because she had taken her course, passed her exam, and received all of her equine thermal training). The customer then did not respond and by that day she filed a chargeback through Pay Pal. This is now in dispute as we have provided documents and receipts to the merchant services. As far as the allegations of illegally certifying CIT's in the state of Texas or anywhere in the world. A CIT is a certified Infrared Thermographer. ThermScan Diagnostics does not do the certification. We simply work with one of the oldest and well known thermography institutes in the world and are a reseller of their CIT course and certification. Once a person goes through the CIT courseand passes the exam they are a Level 1 CIT. Legally able to state cool and heat thermal exception patterns in anything they image. Walls, horses, electrical panels. There is level 2 and Level 3 CIT. These are also higher courses and training which enable CIT's to legally state temperature differentials. Usually used in the commercial imaging industry. There have been many cases where a CIT's work has been presented in court to show the validity of thermal imagign and the qualificatons of a CIT. This will hold up legally in court cases. ThermScan Diagnostics then rpovide CIT's with an equine imaging training package. We train CIT's how to do thermal imaging in horses. In answer to the irate person who incorrectly stated that weave them false information by stating "you do not have to be a veterniarian to do thermal imaging in horses." We stand behind this statement.  As CIT's we can legally take thermal images in anything we image, horses, houses, buidlings, and we can state cool and heat exception patterns. This is used to quickly and non invasively pinpoint possible problem areas. As CIT's we do not do any diagnosing. We take thermal images, we crrate a thermal imaging report and we state the cool and heat exception patterns. Then this report is sent to the client's regular veterinarian, farrier, equine chirpractor, for further diagnostics if needed. Just by the person who wrote this complaint stating "ThermScan Diagnostics illegally certifies people in thermal imaging" goes to show how mis informed they are. We do not do the certifcation. The person who wrote this obviously knows this if they took a minute to actually "think" about it.

They received a CIT # from one of the oldest and well known Infrared Institutes in the world. If you visit our website you will see our list of Thermographers and you will see that we have listed the disclaimer that we do not do any diagnostics. If you had a leak in your wall and did not know where it was coming from, you could hire any of us listed on the site and we can come out, thermal image your wall and state the exact thermal patterns to tell you the spot the leak is stemming from. Then we create a report with our images to give to you. From that report you can call a plumbing contractor who can look at that report and know exactly where to go in to your wall to find and "diagnose" the problem and fix it. With out the imaging report the plumbing contractor would just have to start tearing open the wall.

Thermal imaging is a very useful tool for (house) and horse owners to quickly and non invasively find probelm areas, or to show there are no problem areas. If thermal excption patterns are found, the reports go to the veterinarians for folllow up diagnosis. So far all of our CIT's have had very good feedback from any of the veterinarians that receive our reports. They find them helpful to easily see the whole horse so they can then have a better idea of how and where to focus their attention. As long as a CIT does not start "diagnosing" what a problem is, then they are in within their legal rights to state cool and heat exception problems. We are sorry that one unhappy person is trying to state false allegations to ruin the CIT program for all the other customers that have not had any issues at all and are starting to build successful businesses. The CIT work is legal and it is important because it helps the horses and it helps the horse owners have other options to quickly pinpoint problem areas, (including using saddle fit imaging) in a way that is less invasive and more cost effective for the horse owners. This is our goal and why we state that this unhappy customer is trying to ruin this for everyone by hurling false allegations against us. Thank you-ThermScan Diagnostics
