BACKGROUND
I am writing this e-mail to express my total dissatisfaction with the process of getting my television repaired and then replaced. Pecks electronics came out to my house to service my television and took out a part to send to Thompson to fix on Sept 7th. They came back out on Oct. 9th to repair it and realized that the wrong parts were sent out.

Pecks and Thompson have been going back and forth with the wrong parts all the while I am without a television. I (the customer) started making phone calls to Thompson trying to get some kind of urgency to get the TV repaired. They keep promising me somebody will call me, somebody will call me; hasn't happened yet.

After 3 weeks of frustration and getting nowhere with the representatives, who refused to let me speak with a supervisor, I finally spoke with somebody who agreed the best solution would be to send out a new TV. That was 3 weeks ago. During this time I again made at least 10 phone calls between Pecks and Thompson to get the appropriate paper work in so that the process of picking up my television and getting a new one could start. And Each time the representative said that somebody will call me; hasn't happened yet.During this time I have received no help from Thompson and find myself doing most of the work to get this moving.

On Monday (12/10) the representative told me that somebody will call me to make arrangements to pick up the TV from my house and it would take no more than 8-10 business days. I called again today (thurs. 12/13) (because I received no phone call) and was told that they were waiting to make arrangements with Pecks to pick up the TV after I had told Thompson several times that I had the TV and confirmed with them on Monday that I had the TV and gave them my address and phone number.

COMPLAINT
Nothing, Nothing that Thompson has told me that they were going to do, have they done. Then the Rep. tells me today that it is going to take longer than 8-10 business days on top of the week that we just lost. What will it take to get anything accomplished? I have not had a television for over 3 MONTHS now and at this point was promised that I won't have one for Christmas and to think that anything will get done between Christmas and New Years is naive.

I have for 3 months of cable, HD channels and HBO which I have not been able to use.

I am hard pressed to believe that somebody - anybody between Thompson and RCA cares at all about their customers.

At this point I ask you why I would ever consider purchasing anything from RCA for the fear that if something went wrong with it that I would have to go through this process again. It turns my stomach thinking about it.

The worst part about it is that Thompson thinks that everything will be rectified by giving me a new television. Well I had a brand new television. And the one that is being sent to me is the same one that you don't make the parts for anymore which started this problem in the first place. And to think that if I needed some kind of service (if you want to call it that) done on this "new" television
