I purchased computer parts from Tiger Direct on Dec. 28-06 with the advertised prices (Intel CPU)$81.85 less a $50 rebate and a motherboard advertised for $62.55 less an$18 rebate. I recieved the products and applied for my rebates right away (Jan.8-07) but when I check my rebate status for the CPU it says "no claim found". Then I check the rebate for the motherboard it tells me all the processing has been completed since Jan 12-07 but the payment is still sitting there not sent. I even forfeited $1 from the rebate price to have it sent without the waiting as the rebate site (OnRebate) advertises. I tried contacting both the rebate centers and Tiger Direct but no one helps me. Lately whenever I call the toll free number at the rebate centers they hang up on me before I ever get to speak. This has been going on for more than a month.

since I filed my report here i've been reading some other complaints similar to my own. I've been check almost daily to find the same status...

YES The Rebate was accepted 1/12/2007 2:33:03 PM
NO Payment Sent

I even gave them the fee to send process the rebate without the waiting period. They claim payment to be sent out within 3 days of rebate acceptance. It's been more then a month. Whenever I try to call them on the phone they hange up on me. I e-mail them and I get no reply. I've since sent a complaint to the FTC and the Consumer Protection Agency. I did try the BBB in Miami but they didn't respond. What I don't understand is since there are so many people who filed complaints here and the FTC and so on then why aren't these companies stopped in their illegal acts?Now it's wait and see.
