DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE MONEY! They took a $2000 deposit before Thanksgiving for what was supposed to be an approx. 10 DAY $4700 re-tile job beginning the Monday after Thanksgiving.  On the following Wednesday, they did a portion of the demolition our bathroom.  I called every day after that for 3 weeks  asking what was their plan and when would they return--every day DAVE VINES claimed that their man was on the way.  A second installer eventually showed up, gave us his phone number, and said that they owed him money.  We never saw him again and he didn't return our calls.  Third guy came, did a few days work ($4700.00 job still not half completed)--asked us for $1000.00 more because, the worker said, if we pay Tile Depot then he could get paid. That was New Year's Eve.  We said no money until the job is done.  We went to Tile Depot Jan 2, 2010--Dave said that they pulled their guy off our job because they were concerned that they weren't going to be paid. My bathroom still unfinished. In my opinion, these guys are fancy talkers (TOMMY is the employee who could sell ice water to eskimoes) with no ability to execute their contracts.  Dave and his wife Sherri seem to run the place, but Rick Dakes is listed on the LLC registration as the agent that you serve for legal process.  YOU WILL NEED THIS INFO IF YOU DEAL WITH TILE DEPOT!

Please read related reports on Tile Depot

AUTHOR: Ripped off consumer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, June 03, 2010

Sherri--please read my initial report as that is the relevant complaint. Also, I think that you should buy a Black's law dictionary.

I want people to read the related reports on Tile Depot; my story is only one.
The soldier stationed in the Middle East whose mother purchased carpet for him (and paid in full in advance at the behest of David Vines) stated that she never received anything.  Then, when she went to the store, voila--Tile Depot skipped.  I think these people are vicious liars.

This is my last post; we've moved on.

New info!!!

Lynn,

1.  The installer who did your job, Butch is ALSO Petrovic's installer and LONG time friend, he did not put Butch on your job as you see...check it out..call Petrovic, the owner and inquire if Butch is Petrovic's installer and long time buddy.

2.  Easyboard is the newest backerboard on the market.  We go to the shows in Vegas and learn of all new and improved product, which is what you have.  A lot of companies are still using the old products, but your easyboard is the newest on the market, much more imporved.....call Carlos at Dal Tile in Victorville and he will confirm as well.  Walls being counters....example: walls are counters....Butch put 1/4" on the tub sourround wall.....I have the manufacturers data sheet and have spoken to them and showed them this site.  They are the ones dealing with Attorney Mr. Robinson...with the Federal trade commission (who's licence is not in any jeapordy), he is working as an employee, shareholder of the law office and dealing with the Federal Trade commission because THERE name also is being slandered when the picture your showing is on the tub sourround and is 100% acceptable for the tub area....the shower area has 1/2 inch!!!!  This all is done 100% as it should....when you talk to Dal explain to them the 1/4" is on the tub sourround wall and the 1/2" is on the shower wall.  I obtained the pictures from Butch.....

3.  I have 5 other stores, but all down the hill and one in Oklahoma.  My lease was up at Tile depot and the rent there is: $14,000 a month, (easily checked out). Who in this economy can cover a $14,000 rent when it's double fair market value? I moved Tile Depot back to Oklahoma where it originated from.

4.  I suggest we both together go to the manufacturer AND the distributor together, in person for them to explain to you your job was done 100% perfectly...This is not the forum to be discssing these issues, but I cannot get you to call me direct.  After I help you understand my industry and products on the market and where Butch comes from I beleive we should sit down and go over this job and I believe you will finally see this could of been figured out a year ago instead of all this time consuming slander back and forth that has got us no where.  I do believe once we meet together with the data fact sheets that I have in my hand, Butch's pictures, and after meeting with the distributor and manufacturer, along with Butch to have you hear first hand that he's Petrovic's installer....I think you may appologize to me in the end....maybe?

Sherri's alleged attorney not eligible to practice law

AUTHOR: Ripped off consumer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, May 27, 2010

In my opinion, the lady doth protest too much.

If Sherri threatens you with hiring an attorney, go to the State Bar of California "attorney search."  Type in his name.  Then after you see the attorney's name and status, click on the color-highlighted name to get the history of his relationship with the bar.

If Sherri thinks that horizontal and vertical surfaces are equal within the tile industry, I think that is another reason to avoid her.  Additionally, the product shown in my uploaded image that clearly states "floors and countertops" also manufactures backing that is clearly marked "walls."  Apparently, the manufacturer understands the difference.

The tile depot store no longer exists on Hesperia Road, so I am surprised by Sherri Vines' rebuttal on this site.  I was told her brother sells tile and granite locally near the In-n-Out burger shop; she may not be entirely gone.

For floors and counters....the real story

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 25, 2010

When it says for floors and counters, counters ARE considered to be the same IN THIS INDUSTRY.  If Lynn would of asked the questions to us instead of not paying....she would of been happy, but she jumped the gun and listened to our competitor who will say anything of course to get the job........Lynn needs to talk to someone who just does not want her money....Counters are walls and vice versa, we even have obtained a brochure from the distributor that verifies this.   The licence she's talking about is the old company's licence we bought 2 1/2 years ago...it's not ours, we have our own under our company name....

Lynn Accomazo has not paid our company

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 24, 2010

This customer owes Tile Depot over: $2900.00 at a certain period of the job, which she could not pay, so OF COURSE TILE DEPOT would not finish the job!  There is always two sides to every story.  This customer has 10 days to remove this or I will sue her for libel.  I have hired Mr. Robinson, Von on 5-1-10 to sue the author of this false review.  Lets see what happens next!

update by Lynn

AUTHOR: Ripped off consumer - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, April 19, 2010

I have posted a picture of Tile Depot's work in my home. Zoom in on it if it is too small.
It is the tub side of the shower wall; tub is at bottom of picture, shower on other side of shown wall.  The writing on the board (that they placed on the wall) states boldly: "for floors & countertops."

Tile Depot promised me a guarantee with this installation--it appears the manufacturer's instructions were too much for them.  My guess is that this installation would void any guarantee.

According to the Contractor's License Board, Tile Depot's license was revoked because they failed to comply with an arbitration award.

Good news is that I found Petrovic Tile to tear out the shoddy efforts of Tile Depot.

The 150 square feet of materials that Tile Depot left on my front porch after pulling from the job are still stored and useless and not worth the $2000.00 that I paid. As one other reviewer noted, they don't deliver enough to complete your job, just enough to string you out to try to get "draws."  Petrovic Tile did not need a "draw."  They did the job in ONE WEEK, then got paid in full.   Petrovic Tile, unlike Tile Depot, used drop cloths on my floors and furniture; they used industry-standard concrete troweled backing; they showed up on time and left a clean area in the evening when they went home.  We now have a fabulous bathroom.

Lynn Accomazo has not paid our company

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 02, 2010

All Lynn Allacamazo has to do is to pay the installer and the installer would finish her job, but she outright told the installer she was not going to pay the huge balance so of course the installer was nervous to finish without a "draw".  Lynn refused to even pay a draw.  Lynn also commented to a mutual friend of ours of her plans and has slandered our company name in which I have a signed statement of slander.  We are pursuing our rights.

I have not yet lost as much money as the people in the original report but it has been over a month and only have 25% of my product. I have started to here about similar complaints about how they get you to start part of your work and then either not complete your order or send you the rest of the material that doesn't match so you will be stuck with what you have. That is why the fine print on the purchase order is making you release all their responsibilities.

I have not yet put down any of the product I currently have until I see if the rest is going to match. Why I chose to get part of the order up front was my mistake but as the originator said "ice water to eskimoes". Long story short I will probably end up in court with bare floors. If it comes to that I will be filling my own Rip-off Report with more details.

My point now is I do not know of the originators of this report but it ticks me off to see and here how many people keep getting lied to and ripped off by this company. Yes there are always to sides to a story but the first one sounds to be true. Check out many of the reviews as I wish I had. There is a reason this company is not registered with the BBB. If you still need to see and hear for yourself go into their show room for sometime and listen to the lies they tell their customers over the phone about why their order hasn't been delivered.

The real story

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 15, 2010

This customer, Lynn Accomazo owes: $2900.00 to Tile Depot, and did not want to pay a "draw" when the material was delivered to her home and 3/4 the way done.

One of my staff overheard Lynn speaking to her husband that she was not going to pay at all, so Tile Depot had to stop delivering material to her home until she paid a draw.  I have tried to contact Lynn myself to resolve, but to no avail.

The "guy" she claims showed up to her home and said we owed him money, is a very good friend of mine, named: Jason Curtwright.  We do not owe him any money, he just told Lynn that because he did not want to do her job as he had heard from a realtor friend of Lynn's who was advised to not do the job as Lynn was not paying her bills.

There is always two sides to every story.  I would love to work this out with Lynn, but she does not return phone calls.

Since her job was 3/4 the way done, do you think she could have paid someone else $400.00 to finish and skip out on the $2900.00 balance???  Hmmmmmm

Sherri
