Tornado Office Supplies Office Supply scam Dardanelle Arkansas

On October 10, 2007, I received a call from a woman named Terry, she said that she was calling from Tornado Office System; she said she spoke with my supervisor who gave my name as the person who orders supplies for the company. She said that they were a small office supply company that would be relocating to Arkansas and would be selling all office supplies half price. I asked her to fax me her supply price list, she said they were a small company and they were in the process of updating all of their supply information.She gave me some quotes and I compared them to my regular supply vender. I thought, the price are really cheap. She asked me about the supply items ordered on a regular bases at our business. I verbally gave her a list of all of the items. She explained that that the supervisor wanted the items purchased. She asked for a purchase order number, I gave her the P O #, she said that the items would be sent within two weeks . The items would be delivered by UPS. She thanked me for the order, I asked her for the total, she said a bill would be sent to our company after the order was processed.

After I ended the conversation, I talked to my supervisor, who said she had spoken with Terry but she did not give her pemission for a supply order. I went on line and located the companies name, address, city and fax number. I sent a fax telling them to cancel the order. I stated that all items sent will be returned to their company. I also stated that I would report them to the BBB. Terry called me back and asked what the problem was, I told her that my supervisor did not give her permission to order supplies from her company. She asked to speak to my supervisor and I gave the call to her.After speaking with my supervisor,who explained that she never gave her permission to send supplies to our company. She called three times, asking to speak to me I gave the call to my supervisor, who told her not to call me again. Not thinking I allowed her to attempt to scam our business. She had all of the right answers but none of the backup. Beware, Tornado Office Systems Inc. The order was cancelled before it was delivered. Terry spoke to two supervisors, each time her story change.
