On 30th April I order a Maxx figurine from Toyglobe valued at $35.95 US. The website said, the few it had left had packages that were a little dinged but they were 'IN-STOCK'. So I thought, 'fine, I've been wanting a Maxx figurine for years, it's my favourite comic and cartoon.'

(also note, the price has suspiciously changed to $54.95 since I ordered it... I have the email to prove that it was $35.95 US originally)

I gave my credit card details and it gave me an order number 265512. It said that Australian orders will take a bit longer and I'll be sent a tracking number via email. The final price is $52.60 US with shipping and insurance. Also the postage will be a bit more than what it said on the original email because I'm overseas. 'Ok, fair enough, I live a long way away'.

4th May 09 - My credit card is billed for $88.06 CAD. 'Woah, that seems very high.' The conversion rate at the time would've made it $74.85 US. 'Well, I really want this toy, I'll have to see what the shipping cost breakdown is when it arrives and I get the invoice'.

21st May - I still haven't heard a thing. No item, no tracking number. I send an email asking whats happening with my order. I get this response "Hello Damon. The item that you ordered is on backorder. We have made arrangements to receive it from our distributor. We are expecting them within 10 days. We will ship asap once we have it."

But I thought it was IN-STOCK?? Shouldn't they notify people if its not actually in stock like they said it was?? People might not want it if it's going to take a lot longer than they expected.

16th June - I send another email asking what is going on? I still haven't heard anything. Getting very angry by this stage.

23rd June - finally, a week later, I get this reply. "Hello Damon. I am really sorry about all the delays. We really messed up with your order. We will ship it out this week. I will then email you a tracking number. I want to thank you for all your patience."

Two weeks later.

6th July - Still nothing, so I email a third time. This time I ask them if I can simply have a refund if they don't have the item, which they clearly do not.

(Today) 30th July - I still havent had a reply and doubt I will get one.

Almost 3 months to the day since I put in my order, I am on here because I have no idea what else to do. I live Australia. They live in the US or Canada. Or somewhere. Who the hell knows? How on Earth this company can be allowed to keep trading after all the reports I've seen on the net of people getting ripped off is staggering.

Bottomline, Toyglobe, please refund my money ASAP so I can find the figurine elsewhere. I earn an average wage and that money is a big deal to me. What a terrible way to do business.

Signed,

An incredibly upset customer. :'0(
