TransUnion Credit Report / Score monitoring San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 Nationwide

In April 2014, I wanted to get my free credit reports because residents of certain states are entitled to their free credit reports. I googled the major credit report institution names, and the TransUnion web site came up. The similar name to the one of the 3 major reporting institutions lured me into their web site. After entering all my personal data including SSN I was offered to see also, my credit score for a one day view for $1. I have not received any credit report from the 3 credit reporting institution but a composite of my credit history and my credit score.

And here comes the hammer, 7 days later my credit card was charged in the amount of $17.95 for monthly services of credit monitoring!! I have never seen the number $17.95 anywhere during my sign up process. Believe me I read everything before I sign up, yet I am burnt again. The email I had received from them was only confirming the $1 charge, no mention of any continuous service or further charges! Fraudulent practices, you bet!

I have called their customer service, but they claim everything is on their web site. BS! Behold of the tricky web site with hidden (half page) views of what you are signing up for.
