I met a charming guy just over a week ago. (It was my birthday). He told me how he and his dad had just moved in a few blocks away and that his dad had signed him up for Toast Masters. He said that he had to talk to something like 100 new people every day. His name was Brad I believe and his ID number is 1051. He was also selling magazines and books to help with his scholarship.

I ordered four subscriptions ($183). A few magazines for my husband and a few for me. It seemed like a lot at the time, but the subscriptions were all for two years and one was bi-weekly.

So the other day I received a postcard in the mail from Amazon.com. My friend had sent me a subscription of Oprah for my birthdy which concidentally I had just ordered from this kid. So tonight I pulled out the receipts to try to cancel or change my order (so I did not receive two subscriptions of the same magazine) and there is only a long distance phone number, not the kid's number.

I checked on-line for a website and found this site with all of the feedback. I saw that the feedback started out in the southern states but just a few weeks ago there are postings in Danville and Orinda (neighboring cities). Tomorrow I will be putting a stop payment on the check.

I feel like I have been completely betrayed by someone I don't even know. Is there anything else we can do?
