UNION WORKERS CREDIT SERVICES DECEPTIVE BUSINESS TACTICS CONTINUE FROM THIS COMPANY! Dallas Texas

I got a letter yesterday from this racket...sounds like the usual thing they do after checking them out. I don't belong to a Union so was suspicious to get anything from one offering me anything, especially a line of credit I don't need. The letter refers to (in all caps & bold print) me being "PRE-APPROVED for a PLATINUM CARD Membership from" UWCS "with a GUARANTEED $10000 credit limit" and also "VISA (R) or MasterCard (R)" and "LOW,LOW interest rate of 5% APR", "PRE-APPROVED" and "This is a limited time offer and all deadlines are final"-since they emphasize VISA/ MasterCard you think that's what they are offering, right? WRONG...lost among the bold and allcaps is the reveal that it has nothing to do with VISA or MasterCard but is valid exclusively toward all credit purchases from credit provider (UWCS).

In small print they state they are unaffiliated with VISA and MasterCard and the credit amount shouldn't be considered to function as any type of multi-purpose credit card is an exclusively applicable for credit purchases from UWCS at the credit providers sole discretion.

Nothing but deceptive, manipulative ... even though they offer the $37 cost needed for their card with the first purchase they essentially only sell you the opportunity to buy their stuff for 5% APR.

Watch out for them...according to the Fort Worth BBB "UNION WORKERS CREDIT SERVICES first came to our attention April 28, 2005. Randy Walls, President of the company was formerly associated with Credicorp in Dallas, TX. Credicorp has an unsatisfactory record with the Dallas BBB"...
