Union Workers Credit Services Unrealistic offer for only $37 fee ripoff Dallas Texas

Received a credit ofer in the mail today. I was suspicious because they even sent an offer. Sufice it to say that my credit is far less than perfect, so a credit offer of anything more valuable than a popsicle stick raises my eyebrows.

The letter says I'm pre-approved for a 10,000 credit line on a Platinum Visa or MasterCard. All I have to do is send them money first, along with my signature. It includes some smal print that reads, "note: the $37 is fully refundable with your first purchase using your $10,000 credit limit."

The web address on the letter only forwards you to unionworkerscreditservices whose homepage has pictures of people working noble professions such as doctors, firemen, and teachers. What you learn from the website is that you may only apply your credit toward orders from their catalog.

No where in the letter can you find a number to contact the company. I did find a phone and fax numbers and an email address on the contact page of the website I was redirected to. The website, however, lists only a P.O. Box (the same P.O.Box on the return envelope), and not a physical address.

These people appear to be preying on those with depperately poor credit, or those without internet access with which to research their bogus offer. Such business practices should not be tolerated. They are helping to further destroy the credit of those who can least afford it.
