I received this in the mail today and I didn't know what it was.  I opened it and the paper showed BALANCE DUE:  $37.00.  I was perplexed, I did not order anything and this was not one of my normal bills, so I opened the rest of the paper and realized it was a letter soliciting for a credit card.

That being said, I was curious enough to bring it back upstairs and do an internet search on it.  Imagine my surprise when all that I got back on my search was sites like this one, which happened to be first on the list, even before the company's actual website, which I still have been unable to locate.

I read only one review on this particular "scam" and I felt sorry for the person who responded to it.  I tore my "invitation" right in half at that point and decided to post my own scam report.

Like the one review I read, I don't have the greatest credit in the world, however I do have an intimate knowledge of credit reports and their effects on people's lives as I am a mortgage loan processor.  I was immediately suspect of this company offering me a $10,000 Platinum Card, since I was "pre-approved" and they had no information on me other than my name and address.  They hadn't asked for any income information, social security information, birthdate or anything that normally would be required.  They stated that if I sent them in $37.00 and they would refund that to me once I received the card and made a purchase.  This is described in the letter as an "annual fee", as such it would not be refundable on any terms, least of all making a purchase.

I felt I had to say something, if for nothing more to keep ripoffreport.com at the top of this list, rather than the actual company and it might save some one else from making the unfortunate mistake of my elderly friend here (the review I read) who actually succumbed to the hype.
