These people charge so much interest it is unbelievable. They put 24% in the box on the contract, but if you look at your credit report they do not put the interest in the figures because they do not want anyone else to know they are charging more than a loan shark, who could pay this?

HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH 115%?

AUTHOR: Billcoll01 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 07, 2007

IM STILL CURRIOUS AS TO HOW YOU CAME UP WITH 115% WHAT CALCULATION ARE YOU USING I SHOW APPROX 2376.75 IN THE 1ST YEAR. IF THE LOAN IS 4YRS YOU WILL END UP PAYING ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT YOU FINANCED 5YRS THAN IT WILL PROLLY BE MORE THAN YOU FINANCED. EITHER WAY YOU AGREED TO IT
WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE TRUCK.

115% interest rate is too much...

AUTHOR: Bonniepod - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 06, 2007

This was Not a car title loan or a payday loan this was me actually buying this car from a dealership and getting charged 115% interest. The interest rate is as much as the cost of the truck which was $9507.00. This is worse interest rate than you would get with a loan shark. I think it is shameful to do such utter and blatant disregard for anyone and their gestapo tactics are shameful as well. They worry me to death and won't stop no matter what.

If you are correct that the real interest rate is far greater than your contract specifies

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

maybe you should visit the authorities?

If this is a quickie car title loan firm, then you would get off cheap at 115% interest. Most people are charged maybe 700% interest and they pay until their wallets bleed to death, and then they loose their collateral. like their car. One chap was written up in Parade Magazine maybe a year ago. he borrowed $200 against his Chevy Lumina, paid back $1200, and then he lost his Chevy Lumina, worth maybe $600, to the repo man. Do the math.

Maybe you really want to avoid ALL quickie loan places at all costs? You know, payday loans, car title loans, and so on.
