I currently have an add on Craigslist to sell my car, and although I am registered with the National Do Not Call Registry, on 7/16/13, I was contacted by a Teddy at United Car Exchange in regards to purchasing their internet advertising services for $199.99. As I was not familiar with this company, I told him that I would NOT make a decision as yet, and I referred him to my wife who is internet savvy, and who could research the company prior to me making any purchase.

My wife received a phone call shortly thereafter from Teddy, who told her that I had requested he call her to get our credit card information as I had approved a purchase from him. My wife told him that he could call her the following day; as we would NOT be making any decision immediately as she would be doing some research on their company and services; and that we would be speaking that evening prior to making any purchase.

I received a second call from Teddy just after he had spoken to my wife; and he told me that she said it was fine for me to go ahead and purchase their services immediately and give him my credit card information.

I received a call from my wife later in the day as she was upset about receiving an email notice of payment to the company. It was then that we realized that we had both been lied to and swindled into purchasing services from United Car Exchange.

My wife has since done some internet research on the company and found a multitude of sites listing this company as a fraud and scam.

My wife called the company on 7/17/13, and spoke with a Zoe (would not give last name), who stated that she would refer the situation to a manager; but that it was ultimately a legitimate purchase, because no matter what was said by their representative Teddy, I agreed to give my credit card information.

My wife and I have since made numerous calls to the company requesting to speak with a manager in regards to this situation and we never received a return call.

My wife called again on 7/30/13, was finally able to speak to a manager, Jennifer, who indicated that it was irrelavant what their representative said to get me to purchase their services, and that this issue was nothing but a communication problem between my wife and I.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY as they engage in unfair business practices as it is apparent that they operate on lies and consumer fraud.
