please contact the owner ben on his cell phone, he gave it to me when i was going thrut he same trouble with him . Although when he ripped me off heis licend for interstae moves was revoked they are complete scam artists.

Call them from a different phone number (so they won't know it's you to ignore) and demand to wtness a re-weighing of the truck. You will meet them at a weigh station (call your local police to find the nearest station) and they will measure the truck. They will arrive at your house, and you will have to pay them, but afterwards you can follow the truck back to the weigh station. They will have to give you a certified weight ticket showing the before and after weight. Make sure there are no guys on the truck either time. When you sign for your belongings, note next to your signature that there will be an "empty weight" immediately after delivery is complete, and you expect a refund of the overchargees at that time.

Now, this is assuming they will follow federal law, but you could throw them off by asking for this. You certainly have the right to demand a re-weigh if you doubt what they say. You have the right to witness it. If the weight is less than they said, they have to give you a refund on the spot. So when you pay them in the cash they will demand, make sure to use small bills that they can easily hand back to you when you prove what the actual charges should be. Willl they accept it and give you your things? Nope. They will demand the full amount before even opening the truck. Is there anything you can do about it? Nope. It's called a "hostage load", and It Sucks.

At the very least, you will have documentation of what should be going on. If they do not follow the law, you can take thm to small claims court for the overcharges to be refunded to you. The authorities can use it against them. Do whatever you can to protect yourself now, and file all sorts of complaints later.
