United Express Van Lines rip-off sunrise Florida

this company has lied continuosly. from day one we were quoted a move total estimate of $995. via email. this was done after we providied them with the list of items to be moved.

on 12/23/02 they arrived, once the truck was fully loaded they said we exceeded the cubic ft. and the total came to $3257. my daughter had to be back in fl on 12/26/02 and had no choice but to go with it.

they still have not delivered the furniture- the trip was to go from IL to FL. Today is 1/3/02 and we still have no answer as to when the furniture will be delivered, not to mention they said they would give us an additional discount due to the huge rate difference, yet we have heard nothing from this company.

I made numerous calls & finally spoke with Sam P. the so called mgr of united express. most of the time he said he would call me back & he didn't, finally on 12/27 he called me and said that he had to hire some outside company to deliver the furniture. on 12/30 after i called him again he told me he hired someone else to make the delivery.

that persons name is Bert and can only be reached on his cell phone 954-415-2043. I called that number on 12/30/02 & was told they would be in FL on the following friday or at the latest sat. 91/3 or 1/4. well- wrong! we did not get the 24hr notice call so I called him again today 1/3/03- to my surprise he said he was still in NY or NJ and wasn't sure when he would be in FL

i would like to get this on the news. I would like to see united exress van lines be put out of business. we have issues about the pricing and the delivery.

i filed a complaint to the bbb- no response as of today

i have been trying to help my daughter with this mess since she is working all day & has no time to make calls or send emails.

we need all the help we can get!
