Ok I have been with this company since August 2008 and things were fine until last year when I notice one payment did not get recieved. I called and was assured things were fine. Then I notice past due amounts on the account. I called the creditor myself and they explained what had been happening. UFS did not make a payment in Nov 2009,Feb 2010, June 2010, Sept 2010, Oct 2010 leaving me past due by 714.00. Then I checked all my statements and none of my creditors had recieved a payment since aug 2010 but UFS was still debting my account every month. I had to shell out a lot of extra money to try to straighten things out. I ended up paying off two creditors on my owe because they gave me such a good cut in rate. The one I have to make two large payments to keep it from going to a collection agent. One I haven't even begun to sort out.
After playing the UFS phone game for three weeks, I devoted one day to repeatedly calling and trying every extention before I reached a real person (who was very rude, unprofessional, threated to hang up, refused to get a supervisor, yelled and talked over me). She basically said they had no idea payments weren't being made and I should have called sooner (which I did only to play their phone loop game). She would get back to me by phone in 72 hours and "that she doesn't work on my schedule". Her name was Anissa (or something very close to that). I cancelled my account but they need to pay for all the payments they missed. And why was my account being debting for two months and no money being sent out. It is not the billing cycle...a billing cycle is not 60-90 days. I would love for Jamie Lyons or any other manager to call me and clear this up. I want to here from someone in 72 hours or I will sue!

Same Situation...this has got to be taken care of!

I am also in the same sittuation....they have almost $1600 of my money and my creditors would have been paid off this May/June! Now I will be paying on them for longer....this has really messed up my fiances and it is absurd that nothing is being done to hold this company accountable for thier actions/lack of actions. They have performed theft in my eyes as they stole my money and broke the contract that we had signed. Why didn't they give their customers a heads up that they were going to be closing and not continue to "steal" our money in the mean time.

Same Experiences as You

My experience with UFS mirrors all of yours:
This relationship has been a train wreck since day one. I monitor my accounts like a hawk and knew exactly when monies were being withdrawn and then sent to my creditors. My daily job has been to communicate with them to find out where my payments were/are. I have had to change the due date on my accounts 10 times! My history with them would fill up the entire page here. I have filed complaints with the Attorney General's Office as well as the Better Business Bureau. I have even forwarded a complete copy of my file/communication with them to First Lady Michelle Obama's office. They tried to get me to sign a release/confidentiality/settlement agreement this morning and I almost wet myself from laughing so hard. This company is a scam and needs to be stopped. Right now they have $702 of my money and I am not backing down. We need to begin a class action suit against them.

Got in contact with a real person!

I finally got in contact with someone who was very polite and confirmed that payments were missed. All of my payments are going to be reviewed and missed payments will be sent to my creditors. Once all payments are cleared, I will be able to breath easy but not until then...
