United Vacation Network is being sued in a class action in Pinellas County, Florida. The case is styled Tahiri v. United Vacation Network, Case No. 07-6868CI. Let's talk about the real facts behind the UVN operation. For starters, UVN has employees who do nothing but log onto this website and others and make false claims praising the company. For example, on another website, a person named Steve Hempfling claimed he was a member and praised UVN. Further investigation reveals that Steve is Christy's boyfriend. They live together at the same address. I doubt anyone who is a UVN member is happy unless they actuallly enjoy being victimized.

Christy's status as a felon should make everyone who has financial information and bank accounts with UVN lose sleep at night. Christy falsified documents and stole money from her former employer, Suntasia, who ironically just got raided by the feds for major telemarketing fraud as a travel agency/network in Largo. All anyone has to do is go to the Florida Department of Corrections website and do an offender search. Enter the name Christy Daniel, and all of her criminal past will be displayed.

As for the claim the UVN has nothing to do with the marketing companies that promise the free gifts and vouchers, that is an ABSOLUTE LIE. Heather Garris, the UVN Office Manager, is also listed as the Manager of Blowfish Media, which is one of the companies UVN uses to send out the postcards offering the 'free' cruise. Heather works at UVN and at Blowfish Media. (Their offices are both located in Largo, not very far from each other). So there is definitely a link between the marketing outfits and UVN. Besides, do they think we're stupid? How could UVN sales people just show up to do the sales pitch unless they were in communication and doing business with the marketing companies? They certainly don't do it for free.

Of course, Donna Loher, the President of UVN, knows all of the above. She herself is no stranger to violating the law because just last year the State of Florida obtained an injunction against UVN and one of her many affiliate companies (the Pita Group) for violating the Do Not Call Registry law. UVN/Pita Group paid a fine, agreed to shut down their telemarketing operation, and are under a permanent injunction. Within a few days after that lawsuit was filed by the State, Heather Garris established Blowfish Media at the same offices used by the Pita Group to violate the law, and now they do the telemarketing and postcards to potential victims.

ALL of the above information is public record. Most of it is accessible over the internet. The bottom line is you have a network of companies with a convicted felon running legal interference for UVN, an Office Manager who doubles as a Manager for one of the marketing 'affiliates' and a President with a history of violating the telemarketing laws. Hmmm... sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

I will continue to set the record straight here and respond to the lies reported by UVN and their shadow affiliate companies.

This sounds like a disgruntled employee to me..

This seriously sounds like a disgruntled employee or ex-employee who poses as a concerned person when really they are just trying to ruin the reputation of a company and sadly an individual as well.

I have worked with Christy myself on many things in the past as I have been a member with Uvn for a while. She is such a nice person and she has great customer service skills, honestly I was disgusted that someone would openly put her personal information out on the Internet. The definition of Defamation is communication to third parties of statements about a person that injure the reputation of or deter others from associating with that person. It looks to me like whoever wrote this is guilty of this. If you really have a problem with the company, why would you talk about someone's personal life? Seems like you have some issues that you just don't happen to mention here.

Also, another reason I know this is not a member is because how would you know who Christy lives with, their last name and address if you didn't know her?

Because you are not a member, I am sure that you were an employee, and it seems that you wouldn't have had a job if there were no happy members and everyone was "victimized". I use the services all the time and haven't ever had a problem.

If the companies were really mismanaged, do you think they would still exist? Hasn't UVN been in business since 1997? They are obviously doing something right; and I am satisfied with my purchase and frankly I'm glad that you do not work there anymore because I wouldn't want to book travel services or resort services through someone like you. It seriously doesn't surprise me that you no longer work there.

Tanya,
Happy member since 05
