This outfit is fraudulent.  The company's alleged website for collection is parked on Godaddy.com today, Nov. 16, 2012.  They claim that my wife rented a video on 11/23/09.  Note this is a Monday before Thanksgiving of that year.  She was sick at the Dr.'s Office that day and paid the Dr. with a debit card.

Our last Business with Hollywood Video was on Nov. 10, 2008.  They closed shortly after that.  I called the Company at their legal Business phone Number of (281) 647-4101.  I asked the Operator who answered, if their Company's Clerical Staff worked on Veteran's Day or Sundays.  She said no.  I asked her what is your name.  She said Diane.  She would not give her last name.

The Bill is dated November 11, 2012.  Sunday, Veteran's Day, this year.  I will be calling the United States Postal Inspection Service to report mail fraud.  We maintain all our accounts on Quicken including all cash spent.  The U.S. Postal Services does not collect mail on Sundays.  The Postal Service does not collect mail on Federal Holidays.  There was probably nary a soul in any Post Office accross the Country because Monday was their Holiday because Veteran's Day fell on Sunday.  Overtime costs for an Agency 16 Billion Dollars in the Red would have prohibited or curtailed all work on the alleged date the letter was alleged to have been sent.  I am going to send them a simple demand letter saying: "Show Cause or Cease and Desist."

I will reference their billing number and send it via Certified Mail.  I will also file a complaint with the Business and Commerce Section of Our State's Attorney General's Office and the applicable Office in Texas.  All documentation will be faxed with confirmation of the fraud.  These slimey extortionists are Busted!!!!
