On Jan.06/09 I received a call that I had one a free trip to Orlando from Universal funpass. I spoke with very smooth and fast talking sales people....you won a trip....3days and 2nights Orlando sounds good Katie? It's for you and 3 other people...sounds good Katie? Yeah this went on and on, then I'm transferred to another sales lady to get confirmation code.
Upon talking with this sales lady I'm again told all about wonderful vacation I've won and how much fun my family is going to have. Turns out free vacation isn't free, there is a one time fee of $498.00(us funds). This fee apparently has to be paid right away on credit card. I tell her I can't put that on my visa today, she in return says that's okay Katie we aren't going to disqualify you..it was just christmas we've all been there and laughs; she asks for credit card # to VERIFY information..regrettably I gave it to her!!!!
She then congratulates me visa has approved $98.00(us funds)and the other $400.00 can be made in installments...I was furious. I explained that I didn't agree to this and I want an immediate refund, she says not possible.I then spoke with manager Nicole Robinson who wouldn't give me a refund either...she goes on to tell me I'm acting irrational and crazy!!!
This company is very smooth and manipulative. They want our good word of mouth advertising....well they won't get it from me!!!!!
Then today I receive another email from them that I can upgrade my 2 day passes for universal to 4 passes, knowing full well that I was extremely dissatisfied with what had happened!!!
Further more on top of the registration fee you must pay for your own transportation, meals, hotel taxes.....so much for FREE VACATION TO DISNEYLAND!!!

Im stiil waiting for a refund.The manager called me too and she wanted me to erase my ripoff report which i cant.Did she asked you that or she just refunded you like that.When you try to call them now they have a vocal registred menu so you cant talk to anybody there.....

Today Jan.10/09 I was fortunate enough to speak with a manager at Universal Funpass based in Atlanta, Georgia. This particular manager was very apologetic and deeply concerned with my complaint. She was able to resolve the problem quite quickly; and informed me that I would be getting a refund on my visa and should notice this credit within 3-5 days! I was pleased to hear that the company has been in business for 25 years and won't tolerate the behavior I was subjected to on Jan.6/09.
I would again like to thank this manager for showing concern and for resolving this matter...Thank you.
