Caller purported to be a representative of the U.S. Grants Administration. Caller asked that I verify the name and address she had for me. I complied. Caller asserted that I had been selected to receive a $7,000.00 Stimulus Grant. Caller asked for an account number to effect a wire transfer of the funds. I responded that I would provide no account numbers as paper checks were customary protocol for such grants. Caller abruptly hung-up. The number was (571) 354-5411.
