UPS Freight UPS Lost a package and concluded it never existed Richmond Virginia

a) I shipped 2 packages from LA to Dallas; b) only one package arrived to Dallas; c) UPS searched for the 2^nd package for a few weeks; d) UPS conveyed that they could not find the package; e) UPS launched an investigation; f) UPS declared that a 2^nd package never existed. Proof? A forged bill of lading stating that only one package was picked up and a driver’s interview (3-4 months after the pickup) confirming he picked up only one package; g) I produce the original bill of lading, signed by the driver and stating that he picked up 2 packages; h) The claims investigator ignores this and sticks to her claim that a 2^nd package never existed.

Conclusion: Not only did UPS lose my package, but it probably forged a document to avoid liability. Additionally, I was charged for the shipment of a package that was, according to the claims investigator, “never shipped.”

I requested a shipping quote for 2 packages. A bill of lading requesting the pickup of 2 packages was produced. 2 packages were picked up. The driver signed for the pickup of 2 packages. An email was sent from UPS on 4/11/13 confirming that 2 packages were picked up. When I tracked my package, ups.com noted that my 2 units were underway. 

Finally, I reported the box missing. I received emails and calls stating that “UPS was looking for the 2^nd box,” asked very specific details about the box and its contents, and repeatedly stated that “they were still looking for the 2^nd box.” If a 2^nd box never existed, why did UPS spend so much time looking for it?
