a) I shipped 2 packages from LA to Dallas; b) only one package arrived to Dallas; c) UPS searched for the 2nd package for a few weeks; d) UPS conveyed that they could not find the package; e) UPS launched an investigation; f) UPS declared that a 2nd package never existed. Proof? A forged bill of lading stating that only one package was picked up and a driver’s interview (3-4 months after the pickup) confirming he picked up only one package; g) I produce the original bill of lading, signed by the driver and stating that he picked up 2 packages; h) The claims investigator ignores this and sticks to her claim that a 2nd package never existed.

Conclusion: Not only did UPS lose my package, but it probably forged a document to avoid liability. Additionally, I was charged for the shipment of a package that was, according to the claims investigator, “never shipped.”

I requested a shipping quote for 2 packages. A bill of lading requesting the pickup of 2 packages was produced. 2 packages were picked up. The driver signed for the pickup of 2 packages. An email was sent from UPS on 4/11/13 confirming that 2 packages were picked up. When I tracked my package, ups.com noted that my 2 units were underway.

Finally, I reported the box missing. I received emails and calls stating that “UPS was looking for the 2nd box,” asked very specific details about the box and its contents, and repeatedly stated that “they were still looking for the 2nd box.” If a 2nd box never existed, why did UPS spend so much time looking for it?
