Urban Active Fitness Dishonesty in advertising and horrible customer service. Louisville Kentucky

This company will say and do anything to get you to sign a contract. This is not the fault of the particular salesperson, it is corporate policy. The promotional literature for a club that was to be built across the street from me house lied about the specifications of the club.

The walking/running track was advertised as 10 laps to a mile. This was longer than the location we previewed and was a major selling point for us. The track was, in fact, 14 laps to a mile. The actual track was not only shorter than advertised, but shorter than the one at the location we previewed.

The pool was advertised as Short Course Yards (25 yards). It was actually 24 yards. This may not seem like a big difference, but it adds up over the course of a swim workout (30-80 laps for me, usually). Also, I have had difficulty actually getting to use the pool due to their flawed system which is used to keep from having too many people there at once.

When the club opened, the spinning room was not open, as they had not secured building rights to the small section of the room that needed to be built. It took several months for the room to actually open.

There were far fewer machines present than advertised. Management told me this allowed for expansion of the machines which were most used. I say this is not true to the advertisement.

The front desk staff is apathetic at best and outright rude at worst. I have been a member of several other clubs, and the desk staff at those clubs was always helpful and friendly. These people could use some training on how to treat customers...
