I had 6 checks bounce at US Bank because I forget to deduct some ATM withdrawals. I have no problem paying the $35.00 per check fee even though that's outragous, but now US Bank also charges a fee of $8.00 per day until the checks and fees are paid. It's makes it hard to ever get them paid when your on SS and only get paid once a month. If this happens at that beginning of the month and my SS check isn't deposited until the end of month, the bank will take the entire check for fees. How many times can a bank charge you for the SAME check??? Talk about getting ripped off!

"They should charge charge deadbeats like yyou double and you whole deadbeat family."
I have to delve into "I am the law" territory on this one. What does this comment even mean? Please learn the language before you insult someone. It's hypocritical.

Good response, James. It's nice to know not everyone in the world thinks with conspiracy theories about banks.

'My name is James. I'm a responsible individual who lacks the ability to hold a bank account without using a register. In my entire life, I have overdrawn my account by $0 and I got $0 in fees because of it. I think US Bank is an excellent company. Even though they disclosed all of their account and fee information to me, I don't feel the need to donate my money to the executive's pockets. Credit unions are ripoffs!'

Does it make your life easier to waste your time and energy insulting people that are simply voicing their distaste with your precious US Bank? Do you honestly have nothing better to do? If not, I'm sorry.

Almost all of the complaints about USB on ROR are about overdrafts. To all the people who overdrafted their account and whine about paying fees that they brought on themselves, I've created a template for you to use so you can just copy and paste this under your report to save you a few minutes. Just fill in your pertinent info on the lines. Here we go:
"My name is ______. I'm an irresponsible slack-jawed troglodyte who lacks the ability to do simple math. On the following date, _____ I overdrew my account by $____ and I got $____ in fees because of it. I think US Bank is an evil company even though they disclosed all of their account and fee information to me when I opened up the account. Rip-off! Go to a credit union."
How's that, folks? Does that make your life any easier when you whine on the internet about this company?

You originally stated:
"It's makes it hard to ever get them paid when your on SS and only get paid once a month. If this happens at that beginning of the month and my SS check isn't deposited until the end of month,"
But in an Update you stated:
"I have 3 Direct Deposits every month and have for years!"
So how can you be on SS and get paid once a month, yet have 3 Direct Deposits per month for years?

Was it a problem when the account was opened?

Firstly, I'm sorry to see that you wracked those overdraft fees. It's never good news to see a string of fees.
As for the daily negative balance fee, it is disclosed to all US Bank customers when they open their accounts. Check the thick, blue envelope that you were given when you opened the account and look for the fee schedule and it will be listed.
I'm not saying that the fees are great, I just don't see it as a ripoff when the fees were disclosed and an account agreement was signed.
