US Metal Buildings US Building Systems CorpSM Marketing, IncInternational Building Systems, LLC Expert thieves and ripoff artists; scammed out of $10k Deerfield Beach Florida

This company contacted my fiancee (how they got his phone number, we have no idea) about purchasing a steel prefab building. They pressured him intensely, saying they had the exact building he wanted but it was about to be sold at auction. They said if he gave them a $5k deposit and signed a contract that day, they could guarantee him the building.

After signing the contract (most of which we crossed out because it only dealt in the protection of the Seller and nothing for the Buyer - we even wrote into the contract that the Seller would be responsible for any cost associated with delats, etc), they accepted it, sent us back a copy signed by them, and then came weeks of disorganized calls, more pressurized sales tactics, and eventually perjury.

We never received the blueprints that we paid an additional $500 for, and they asked us to sign a statement claiming that we had received the building in good shape and its condition was accepted by us. We hadn't even received blueprints yet, let alone the building. When we refused to sign said statement, because to do so would be lying and absolving them of any and all responsibility, they immediately claimed that we canceled the contract and attempted to send us to collections for an additional $5k. Plus, they claimed several times that they had not yet began assembling our building, although the salesperson stated it was already fabricated and about to be sold at auction - yet another lie.

The Attorney General sought us out for information because they are currently conducting an investigation. We are also in the process of pursuing a small claims court for contracts breach because we have undeniable proof in their e-mails requesting we agree to their lie and bank statement for money they are now claiming we never paid. Because we live out of state, however, the process is slow going, which I am certain they were counting on.

Additionally, our county's Building Inspector claims to be very familiar with this company; they never supply correct blueprints, even though they know full well what they are supposed to supply, and the people who do business with this company are never satisfied.

I am completely dusgusted by this company and wish my fiancee would have spent 5 seconds researching them before agreeing to purchase their building. Hopefully we can get our deposit back, stop the collection attempt, and bring this God-forsaken company to justice, although I'm certain that $10k won't even make a dent in the amount of money they have deceitfully and/or illegally collected from unsuspecting consumers.
