I went to some payday loan sites, and apparently they share information because when I looked at my bank account I had a withdrawl for $149.95. This unauthorized charge led to my account being overdrawn and charged the usual $35 dollar insufficent funds fee.
I immediately called my bank to inform them of the situation and they were more than willing to credit my account. Within 5 minutes the entire amount was credited back to my account.
Beware when using any payday loan website as it is uncertain as to which site shared my account information. My story was an apparent exception to the rule as is was quite simpple for me to get my money returned, many others, however, have not been so fortunate.

Getting a refund...

That's great your bank was willing to work with you so easily. Your right though, lots of people aren't so lucky. I was able to get a refund as well and what I did was inform the company I was reporting them and that I wanted my money back and within 3 hours of my email which included all the report said as well, I received an email from them stating I could contact the number provided to get my refund expedited. After a few days, as they stated, I did receive my refund.
This company should not be allowed to continue doing this to people. It is more than just "stealing money" from people. For me, and I am sure for others as well, they ripped from me, they stole from me the trust I had in society and other people. I have been ripped off many times, this is just one of the companies, and I will never be able to get that back. I am calloused now, hardened to the "kindness of others". Now I feel I need to question everyone to check their motives and so on. I don't like it but that is the way it is. They just should NOT get away with this.
Take care and be careful with those payday loan places. I myself was madly looking for a payday and got burned because of it. I did however, find a couple of other sites that were not "1 or 2 or 24 hours and we will deposit money into your account" however they were, are, willing to work with me on a loan, which frankly has MUCH better terms and conditions than the payday loans. I had to look hard, but they are out there.
Good luck with all you do,
Heather

what I did

I had the same situation yesterday. I first called my bank and they gave me a complaint number. I then went one step further and filed a complaint with the local sheriffs office in my county. I am going to have my money back in 72 hours. After my account gets into the plus I am going to close my account and than open a new one.
