USA Voicemail-OAN scheme. Rip-off! Internet

Just received my SBC bill and found an unauthorized charge by USA Voicemail in the amount of $21.90 for something I didn't order. The telephone number printed on the bill, 1-800-944-9646, did not answer after numerous rings I called OAN at 1-800-441-9678 and was given a new number, 1-877-439-3802, and spoke to a person who advised I had downloaded some kind of anti-theft program that included voicemail.

I had not and requested the service to be canceled effecyive the date it supposedly was ordered (10/03/2004) and was given a confirmation number 745065. Time will tell if their promise holds. Interestingly, the telephone line that this was assessed to is a computer line only.
